Work Groups

As a collective impact initiative, our Work Groups are essential to moving our work forward. From community education to policy advocacy, our groups allow us to address the depth and breadth of topics impacting child and family well-being in Nashville.

Healing-Centered Communities

This work group focuses on creating trauma-responsive and healing-centered cultures and communities where adults and children can thrive. We collaborate with community organizations to implement practices that promote resilience, mental health, social-emotional well-being, and Positive Childhood Experiences. Strategies may include training for educators and community members and promoting trauma-responsive policies and practices.

Peds PACEs

This work group is concentrated on harnessing the strength of the prenatal and pediatric healthcare system to promote Positive Childhood Experiences to build resilience and mitigate the impact of adversity. Healthcare providers and caregivers at the earliest stages of life are trusted by parents and caregivers, uniquely positioning them to help children and families flourish. Together we can support families by transforming our city’s policies, practices, and philosophies to ensure that all children excel and thrive.
